The incident that occurred three days ago was the result of an intentional premeditated provocation by forces with connection to the international terror network of Al-Qaeda. These groups were providing support to Hamas, an Iranian proxy on Israel’s southern border. and its terrorist enclave in the Gaza Strip. Hamas has fired more than 10,000 missiles at the State of Israel, and it is amassing thousands more. For this reason Israel maintain a legal maritime blockade.

Our policy is simple: Any necessary goods and humanitarian aid can enter to Gaza. What we want to prevent is the ability to bring in war materiel – missiles, rockets, the means for constructing casings for missiles and rockets.

This has been the policy, and we transmitted numerous times to the organizers of the flotilla that they could bring their goods into the port of Ashdod. They were told that we would examine their cargo and allow those goods that could not be used as weapons or shielding materials for Hamas terrorists to enter Gaza. Five of the six ships surrendered more peacefully with minimal violence.

Apparently, the sixth ship, the largest, which had on board hundreds of people, had a premeditated plan to harm IDF soldiers. When the first soldiers dropped down onto the deck of the ship, they were attacked – and almost lynched. They were attacked with clubs, with knives, with live gunfire, and they had to defend themselves. Israel will not allow its soldiers to be lynched and neither would any other self-respecting country.

Our policy is clear: we have no argument or fight with the population of Gaza. We are interested in allowing them to continue their regular routines. We are preventing a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, we are fighting the Hamas terrorist organization, which threatens the citizens of Israel and fires missiles at Israeli cities. Hamas prefers to see the population of Gaza suffer. We will do all we can, together with the international community, to prevent this.

Israel will not allow the free flow of weapons, rockets and missiles to the terrorist base of Hamas in Gaza, It’s a terrorist base supported by Iran. Hamas terrorists hide themselves and their weapons behind civilians, property, men, women and children as well as schools and hospitals. It seeks to smuggle in more of these weapons as well as more sophisticated and deadly ones, and this is why Israel must inspect the goods that come into Gaza.

It is our duty to defend the citizens of Israel, protect Israel’s cities and ensure the security of the State of Israel – and we will continue to do so.

Subject: FREE THE FREEDOM FLOTILLA

To whom it may concern:

I, Anna Culver am writing this letter to you to express my concern for the safety of the 750 passengers from 50 various countries on board the 9 ships who are sailing towards Gaza today.

Israel have issued several threats indicating that they will stop this flotilla by force, and arrest everyone onboard. This is an extremely worrying development, and these threats to civilians has to be taken very seriously.

I am appealing to you to do all in your power to ensure the safety of these brave individuals, and for the 15,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid onboard.

The situation in Gaza is the greatest humanitarian disaster in our time, and it is not only my duty, but the duty of every person worldwide to play their part in making sure the illegal siege on Gaza is lifted.

1.5 million people have been suffering daily due to the effects of this Israeli imposed siege, and the time has come for the world to stand up and say, “Enough Is Enough”.

Will you add your voice to this appeal, or will you sit idly by and allow Israel to not only attack and imprison this flotilla, but to continue the slow genocide of the Palestinian’s in Gaza?

Awaiting your response,

Anna Culver
